Artist-in-Residence Angela Richardson

Angela Richardson is a visual artist, performer, and devoted fan of Madison Public Library. She loves wandering the stacks and gets completely lost in a good book quite often. During her residency at The Bubbler, she’ll explore her curiosities about the library and draw all sorts of conclusions, literally! Using drawing as a research method, Angela will investigate and illustrate the ins and outs of Central Library – the staff, the patrons, the collection, and the building itself.

Grab your art supplies and join her inquisitive adventure. Stop by The Bubbler to dialogue and draw or take part in one of the many workshops she’ll lead during January-February 2016.

Everybody Drawing Everything All At Once! (All ages activity during Big Draw on Sat 1/9, 1:30-3pm) How many drawings can we make in 90 minutes? 90? 353? 552? 729? More than 1000? Let’s find out.

One of many drop-in activities taking place during the Big Draw (Jan 7-9), “Everybody Drawing Everything All At Once!” invites participants of all ages to take part in a wild afternoon of drawing and artistic play. Drawing games, portraits on Post-Its, self-serve sketching stations, scribbly scavenger hunts, DIY doodle instructions…and much more!
