*In addition to scheduled classes The Bubbler Room will be open during library hours for other art experiences, meditative happenings, and projects by Stephen Perkins, Julka Almquist, and Team Bubbler. So even if you can't make a class please stop by and soak it all in!

The Library as Retreat Space project was initiated by Julka Älmquist (Anthropologist), Jeppe Knudsen (Anthropologist), Trent Miller (Visual Artist + Library Transformer - Madison Public Library), Sara Bindeballe (Music staff - Dokk1), and Marianne Krogbæk (Designer - ITK/Dokk1). The results of this weeklong project at Madison Public Library (Madison, WI), along with a similar project at Dokk1 (Aarhus, DK) will be shared at the NEXTLibrary Conference in Aarhus, Denmark June 11th-14th.

Library as Retreat Space events are presented in partnership with the Bubbler, and funded through a mini-grant provided by The Madison Public Library Foundation. The Bubbler is funded by a grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services.
